Last week Nikole spent 5 days in Philadelphia at a Science conference. It was the longest stretch of time that Ayden and I had together. We had a blast and Grandma and Grandpa even came down for a bit. Nikole celebrated her 31st birthday away from us so we sent this nice little pic text.

Never took this into consideration...

Our toilet exploded (pun intended) so I was able to try my skills at plumbing. For some reason, when people find out I’m tackling a home improvement project, the phone rings off the hook and everyone wants to know how it is going. Well, I put in my first toilet and so far so good. Maybe I’m officially a handyman.

We got the Burley out of storage and looking forward to taking our morning rides down to Racey’s for breakfast. Warm weather can’t get here any faster! The trails are still closed and muddy but I’m chomping at the bit to get out on the trails!

Creep. Long. Where? Lost. Saturday I hit the road for the first 3+ hour ride. The deception was that it was like the weather I rode in earlier in the week. The reality was that is was nippy and somewhat mind-numbing. Frozen toes and raw skin made for a delightful first long ride.

Unable, that is, to be forced out of shape. Last year I did away with the 26″ wheel. This year I’m doing away with the suspension. I’m pretty sure I will never be able to do away with gears – sorry to you single speeder freaks!
